The Williamsburg Health Evaluation Center (WHEC), set to open here in March, will provide clients with the opportunity in just one day to receive the ultimate medical examination by a team of expert physicians at a state-of-the-art evaluation facility. Each client will receive unprecedented one-on-one time with their physician and be able to review detailed, same-day results in the center's luxurious private suites. The comprehensive program offers the ultimate investment in future health, longevity and peace of mind.

Designed as a preventive health care service, WHEC in partnership with Norfolk-based Sentara Healthcare has assembled a highly skilled medical team. John D. Hamrick, M.D., board certified in internal medicine; Dominique L. Vinh, M.D., board certified in internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury medicine; Martin J. Goldberg, M.D., board certified in cardiology and internal medicine; and Stephen Foxx, M.D., board certified in radiology, will focus on the client's total health.

Sixteen individual luxury suites assure relaxing and comfortable accommodation during the daylong evaluation process. Planned for privacy and convenience, each suite is tastefully appointed with residential furnishings and upholstery, flat-screen TV, high-speed Internet, printer and fax, examination area and bathroom.

WHEC offers one and two day programs depending on the client's individual schedule. The facility's diagnostic services include:

  •     Complete medical history and physical exam.
  •     Cardiac risk appraisal
  •     Hearing assessment
  •     Comprehensive laboratory studies
  •     Ultrasound of the major arteries
  •     CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis
