Reacting to what he sees as the pervasive problem of social discrimination in today’s world, Wilmer Guity set out to contribute to equality and acceptance in his new Spanish-language book, “Tabú, Prejuicio, Y Racismo: Toma De Conciencia, A Nivel Universal” (published by Trafford Publishing).
Guity says his book his about a fictitious history. “But, it is a book that I wrote with the purpose to help people to understand how racism and discrimination still exist in our society,” he says. He also explores how gay people confront discrimination everyday in their lives.
According to Guity, many conflicts from history still exist today, so he goes into great detail about historical events which are reflected in modern society. His research into history is extensive and informative.
Guity is a freedom fighter who wants equality for everyone. “The book is relevant in today’s society because many things are changing,” says Guity. “For example, gay people have marriage equality now.”
