It's really neat to have breakfast with players and their coaches and families, and to see them in a casual setting. That's something most tennis fans never get to experience.

Broach Sports Tours has extended its partnership with the Millennium and Copthorne Hotels at Chelsea Football Club for the 2012 Wimbledon tennis championships.
This marks the sixth straight year that the Millennium will serve as host for all Broach Sports Tours Wimbledon travel packages.
Carlos McCracken, Broach Sports Tours’ director of tennis, said that the hotel has proven to be the ideal residence for tennis fans during the tournament, which will start June 25 and run through July 8 at the All-England Club.
“One of the great things about staying at the Millennium at Chelsea Football Club is that many of the players and their families also stay there,” McCracken said. “In the last three years, more than 30 players and former players have stayed there, including Novak Djokovic, Marcos Baghdatis, Evonne Goolagong and Marat Safin.
“It’s really neat to have breakfast with players and their coaches and families, and to see them in a casual setting. That’s something most tennis fans never get to experience.”
There are other advantages to staying at the Millennium, McCracken said.
The hotel is a short walk to the closest Underground station, on the District Line which runs directly to the Southfields station just up the hill from the All-England Club. And, the hotel is also close to Knightsbridge and all its fine shopping, including Harrods.
Broach Sports Tours, based in Charlotte, N.C., has been taking tennis fans from all over the United States to Wimbledon for the past two decades.
A variety of 2012 Wimbledon packages are still available, starting as low as $1711. All packages include accommodations, breakfast, tickets, Tube transfers with a Broach Sports Tours guide, a first-night orientation party, and entry to the All-England Lawn Tennis Museum.
The most popular package is a five-day, four-night package that includes Wimbledon tickets for two days, with reserved seats on Court 1 the first day and Centre Court the next. There is also free access to the Debenture Lounge Club and various restaurants inside the grounds.
Broach Sports Tours also has the ability to customize packages tailored to fans’ specific needs, and can add such options as airfare, extra nights, room upgrades, day trips outside London and West End theatre tickets.
“Wimbledon is the experience of a lifetime,” McCracken said. “All four Grand Slam tournaments are special in their own way, but none of them have the tradition and grandeur that Wimbledon has. It’s a must on every sports fan’s Bucket List.”
Broach Sports Tours also has a variety of packages available for the 2012 French Open, the 2012 U.S. Open, and the 2013 Australian Open. A leader in the sports and group travel industry since 1995, Broach specializes in tennis, baseball and golf tours.
