Harvest Inn celebrates August’s Blue Moon with its second annual moon shot photo contest. First prize is a two night stay at Harvest Inn, a $1,000 value; two runners-up will receive a plush Harvest Inn robe, a $100 value each. The second full moon of a month, a rarity, is called a Blue Moon and occurs August 31, 2012.
Shoot a photo of the full, luminescent Blue Moon on either Thursday, August 31 or September 1, 2012, ‘like’ Harvest Inn on Facebook and email the photo as a jpeg to the Inn’s mascot pup, Peanut, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Harvest Inn will post pictures to Facebook and let Peanut, who occasionally howls at the full moon, select his favorites. Each photo must include the picture location, the type of camera used and sender’s contact information. Deadline: Friday, September 7, 2012. Winners announced no later than September 14, 2012.
