The United States recycles approximately 28% of its waste, which is on the rise from a decade ago. However it still falls short of European standards. With an interest in progressive, green materials and products available in the industry, Blinds Chalet introduces an earth friendly drapery hardware line.
Made from natural products such as recycled metal, ceramics, and glass, the new line retains the style and performance of traditional drapery hardware but with a twist. The packaging is made from cardboard and papers rather than plastics to maximize the post consumer recycled content. Hardware is available in wrought iron, contemporary metal, wood as well as ceramic and glass finials.
“Lots of window treatment manufacturers are starting to lean towards eco friendly production and starting to produce eco friendly products. It is exciting to see what is starting to hit the market,” says Chris Stanley of Blinds Chalet, “We are proud to offer this and other recyclable, environmentally friendly products and hope to offer more.”
Blinds Chalet lists a number of green or eco friendly window coverings in their inventory including window blinds or shades that are energy efficient, made of recyclable materials, made using earth friendly manufacturing or certified GREENGUARD which refers to the impact a product has on indoor air quality.
