Saddleback Cellars is thrilled to now offer its customers the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon in the Saddleback Cellars tasting room. The winery began pouring the wine, which received 91 points from Wine Advocate, on Nov. 17.
"The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up plums, black cherries, licorice and grilled herbs in a somewhat compact, mid-weight style best suited to near-term drinking. Its anticipated maturity is 2012 through 2016," according to Wine Advocate in December 2010.
Holding the title of the “King of the Cabernet” in the heart of the Napa Valley cabernet wine region, owner/winemaker Nils Venge continues to create a variety of cabernets from his estate vineyard in Oakville, along with other premium grape sources.
"We've opened the barn doors and the 2008 Saddleback Cellars Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet is now available," Jessica Pfeufer of Saddleback Cellars said.
The 2008 Saddleback Cellars Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet costs $66 for the general public and $52.80 for members of the Posse Club. The Posse Club not only entitles members to wine at a discount, but also offers them the convenience of receiving a quarterly shipment of wine, as well as other benefits like complimentary tastings and invitations to events. The Posse Club features four levels: the two pack, the four pack, the six pack and the case club.
