Bay Are wine tasting venue the Crooked Vine Winery, the original Stony Ridge winery that was established in 1887, is participating in the Fourth Annual Livermore Valley Barrel Tasting Weekend from March 31 to April 1, beginning at noon and finishing at 4:30 p.m. each day.
“Taste our wines right out of the barrel,” Courtney Garcia of Crooked Vine Winery said. “This is your chance to pre-purchase wines before they have even been bottled, aka ‘futures.’”
Advance tickets are $30, available on the web at http://www.LVwine.org or at the winery. Tickets purchased on the day of the event will be $35 per person. Each ticket includes a souvenir tasting glass, two days of barrel tasting at participating wineries, discounts and an event map.
Guests at the barrel tasting will be able to taste-test wines that are still in development, as well as save a bundle on favorites. In particular, futures of Crooked Vine Winery’s Petite Verdot and Stony Ridge Zinfandel will be discounted. Ruby's Woodfire Pizza will also available for purchase during this weekend, as well as live music by James Nagel on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
