New York, NY (PRWEB) September 10, 2009 -- CorkSavvy.com, a leading wine site that offers educational resources and interactive tools to help users get savvy about wine, announces its latest feature: Wine Cheat Sheets, available for free download on the site: http://www.corksavvy.com/page/cheat-sheet.

The Wine Cheat Sheets -- current editions include "Global" and "Wines from Spain" -- are CorkSavvy's handy answer to the traditional, staid "wine vintage cards." Whereas wine vintage cards/charts offer limited information and only appeal to a small percentage of wine drinkers, CorkSavvy's Wine Cheat Sheets provide quick, useful facts about the most important wines: the name of the winegrowing "Region"; the "Main Grape" varieties used there; a very brief description of the wine ("In A Nutshell"); and recommended food pairings ("Tastes Great With").

For example, Jumilla on the Wines from Spain Cheat Sheet is listed as having Monastrell as its main grape; the wine is described as typically "inky, earthy"; and it is noted as pairing well with "lamb, roast pork."

Both Wine Cheat Sheets can be viewed online or downloaded (free) as "Wallet Cards"--visitors simply download a PDF, print it out on letter-size paper, and cut along the dotted lines. The resulting card can be stored in a wallet, used as part of place settings at a wine-themed dinner party, and given with wine gifts. Even more practical: wine lovers can create an "Mobile Cheat Sheet" simply by downloading the PDF to a phone (Mobile Cheat Sheet) and stealing a glance when at wine shops and restaurants.

In addition to the Global and Wines from Spain editions of the Cheat Sheet, several more incarnations are coming soon: "Wines of France," "Wines of Italy," "Wines of California" and a "Wine-and-Cheese" Pairing Sheet. Each will be available to download for free on CorkSavvy.com.

What's more, CorkSavvy offers its Wine Cheat Sheets for co-branding. Restaurants, importers, wineries, and even chefs and sommeliers can work with CorkSavvy on a customized Wine Cheat Sheet, featuring the region(s) of their choice, plus their logo and/or other branded graphics. The Wine Cheat Sheet provides a powerful, memorable way for companies and individuals to extend their brand by linking it to a useful wine tool that wine lovers will use again and again. (Those interested in co-branding a Wine Cheat Sheet can learn more by clicking here).

Jill Sloane, CorkSavvy's Editorial Director, stated, "Our Wine Cheat Sheets are another tool that CorkSavvy offers our users in our ongoing commitment to make wine more enjoyable for everyone."
