We see The Wine Space becoming the wine destination on the net
Woodside, Calif. (PRWEB) February 11, 2008
In December of 2006 Ron and KD Anderson began a blog site with the intention of converting it to a wine community. In July of 2007, they launched the beta test site thewinespace.com. Seven months later thewinespace.com is now ready to be launched to the public.
The Wine Space is a completely new concept for the individual looking for a niche wine site. The Wine Space active members control what they post by giving their personal perspective. That personal perspective includes wines they have tried, events they have gone to, wineries they have visited and photos they have taken. This also includes photos they like and want to share, as well as posting wine and food pairing recipes. The members grow their wine knowledge by reading blogs, forums and by developing relationships while interacting with other Wine Space members.
This Wine Space community is made up of wine lovers who share many of the same interests, the love of wine and the goal to learn the many wonderful facets that wine possesses. The members latest blogs and photos are shown on the front page of the site keeping the information fresh, and the members left feeling that what they have to say is important.
The Wine Space members consist of professionals as well as non professionals within the wine and food industry. Since the majority of these members are not professional wine writers, you are getting wine blogs from the "mouth of babes". These wine blogs are in the purest form of what the wine drinker thought of that wine they just tried. This is "so vital" for those in the wine industry. This method of reviewing wine informs everyone within this industry exactly what that person thought of their wine, "one glass at a time".
This online Wine Community is very diversified as the members are from around the world, be it America, China, Spain, Italy, Africa, Chili, Argentina, Australia, Japan, Norway, England, Egypt or Greece. By joining and describing their home location and wine experiences, the members are able to experience everything their state or country embodies. Their diverse interests and their vast differences in where they live let each of the members learn about various wines, wineries, foods, areas of interest and sites to see that they may otherwise not be exposed to.
The Wine Space design has a touch of class that is evident from the minute you go to the front page of this unique site. The look of the site beckons you in with that feeling of an instant vacation getaway, that wonderful dinner or that wine event that you still can't stop talking about. The contemporary look of the site and easy navigation makes the site extremely appealing. The front page changes regularly since the members are always adding new content of pictures, blogs, forums and polls.
The following is the introduction from the founders of The Wine Space...
This "wine community" was created especially for you as a social network where Wine Blogger's, Winery Owners, Vineyard Owners, Wine Makers and ALL OF US with a passion for wine can interact. Create your personal profile and discuss wine related topics through forums and groups. Share community wine events in your area, tell us about your favorite winery or experiences you have encountered. Explore travel, food and suggested wine pairings with recipes sent in by you! The wine space is about celebrating life and the passion for wine in a casual atmosphere that we all can enjoy!
Ask Ron & KD why they built this community and you will get the same answer. "We wanted to build a classy, sophisticated, over 21, friendship based wine community that is controlled mostly by the members. We wanted to design a site we could be proud of. A site that is relatable, where others would feel comfortable visiting and sharing their own experiences of the wine world and all it has to offer".
The Wine Space is based solely on the members and their likes and dislikes. This site is not based on one persons opinions, its about what members want, what they enjoy, and what they want to share. It is about relationships and living life to the fullest! "We see The Wine Space becoming the wine destination on the net"!
As to how this will effect your wine purchases in the future? Wine bloggers on the internet are a huge force to be reckoned with. The goal is to bring together those found, and unfound talents who want to blog about wine, food and events. Ron and KD look forward to having wineries, wine makers, vineyard owners and growers stop by to review what a member thought of their wine and possibly give their insight into where the future of wine is going.
"Wine knowledge is not a destination, but a journey. We invite you to come join us"!
Ron & KD Anderson, Founders
