Angie Jabine has been promoted to the position of Editor of Northwest Palate, the region’s leading consumer magazine covering food, wine, and culinary travel for 45,000 readers in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, Idaho, and nationwide.

In her new position, Jabine will be responsible for the editorial quality and direction of Northwest Palate in both print and online media, and for deepening the magazine’s coverage of all aspects of the Northwest epicurean lifestyle.

Jabine had previously been the publication’s Managing Editor, working with writers to develop editorial features. "The Pacific Northwest is truly experiencing a golden age of food, wine, and culinary travel," said Jabine. "I'm proud to have shared these developments with Northwest Palate's audience and am tremendously excited about doing even more in the future."

Prior to joining Northwest Palate in 1998, Jabine was Editor and Editorial Advisor for Oregon Focus, the monthly program guide of Oregon Public Broadcasting, Editor of the newsletter of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, and staff writer for Willamette Week. “Angie is a well-respected presence in the Pacific Northwest’s food and culinary travel writing world, and her work has helped Northwest Palate build an enviable reputation for top-quality writing and content," said Northwest Palate co-publishers Cole Danehower and Cameron Nagel in a joint statement. "We are proud to acknowledge with this promotion Angie's proven leadership and skills, and we are excited to work with her to develop even more interesting and useful content for our audience, delivered through more channels than ever before."
