Santa Lucia Highlands, best kept secret for pinot noir lovers
Napa Valley, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2012
Wine Factor is pleased to announce that it now carries Pelerin Pinot Noir, a fabulous red wine from the Santa Lucia Highlands wine region in California. Wine Factor’s expert wine team visited the region to discover new and exciting California Pinot Noirs to add to its boutique wine selection.
“The wine has a phenomenal silky roundness that isn’t often found in Pinots,” said Pat Hurley, owner of Wine Factor. “We’re very excited to share this great California Pinot Noir on our website and introduce it to those unfamiliar with the region.”
The Santa Lucia Highlands region is located on the southern side of the Salinas Valley, just inland from Monterey. The valley runs perpendicular to the ocean, which provides cold Pacific breezes and frequent fog that funnel in to create the ideal climate for Pinot Noir grapes.
Wine Factor decided to carry Pelerin to introduce customers to the region, which is also home to a few other popular wines, including Talbott, Chalone, and Morgan. However, Wine Factor experts believe that this area is still a bit “under the radar”. Wine Factor says it plans to extend its selection of wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands region in the future
