Winshuttle, the leading provider of Excel-based business process improvement solutions for SAP users, today announced the acquisition of A1 Professional Software, the leading German software company providing productivity and test solutions for SAP, and a newly created German subsidiary in Bremen, Winshuttle (Deutschland) GmbH. With the acquisition, Winshuttle gains a significant customer base which includes Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Lufthansa, and Siemens, as well as established operations in a key region of Europe.

Winshuttle provides easy-to-use tools that enable business users to work with SAP directly from Excel, without programming. Winshuttle’s suite of solutions enable both business and IT users to solve any SAP data or business process challenge by securely expanding SAP interactions to both employees and partners. By providing a familiar spreadsheet interface to the SAP system, customers report increased productivity and significant time and money savings. All of Winshuttle’s products are localized in English, French, and German.

Led by Klaus Garms, founder of A1 Professional Software, Winshuttle GmbH will provide sales and technical support to Winshuttle’s existing German customer base such as Bayer, Gothaer Systems, and Merck KGaA. Winshuttle’s European presence already includes subsidiary companies based in London and Paris.

Before A1 Professional Software, Garms was the Managing Director at Rogue Wave Software GmbH, a provider of enterprise class C++ components and infrastructure. He began his career at Precision Visuals, Inc., a graphic software company where he held various positions of increasing responsibility.
