Concord Hospitality selects EnGenius Technologies' long range wireless access point, the ECB-3500 router, as their product of choice to provide wireless internet services for their hotel guests nationwide.

The ECB-3500 wireless access point can provide strong, continued coverage at up to 108 Mbps over a wide-area using 600mW of wireless output power. Along with the high-powered, super G standard, the ECB-3500 uses QoS (Quality of Service) which allows it to handle multiple streams of throughput or large data transmissions simultaneously without slow-downs, pauses or interruptions in service.

The ECB-3500 has the capability to turn an entire hotel into a wifi hotspot - ready to handle any and all guest networking needs from anywhere in the hotel. The ECB-3500's PoE feature makes it possible for us to install a new wireless access point at any RJ45 network jack without having to change or reconfigure any electrical wiring. In addition, with the ECB3500 long range wireless router, Concord has the option to use the Multiple Wireless Names (SSIDs) within each hotel to separate their associates' network from the guest network. Each ECB-3500 can handle up to four named networks which can segregate one set of users from another. This simplifies wireless network management, provides added security and creates multiple virtual networks with only one set of networking equipment.
The ECB-3500 wireless access point is already being used in 23 of Concord's hotel properties across the U.S. and Canada with plans to deploy over 150 more ECB-3500's to 7 new hotels over the next 6 months and more than 300 over the next year.
