U.S. Soccer powers Scholarship Applications through WizeHive, Providing Opportunities to Academy Players Who Require Financial Assistance

After the U.S. Women Soccer Team gold medal win at the Summer Olympics, soccer is enjoying more popularity than ever. The U.S. Soccer Development Academy is currently accepting online scholarship applications to provide opportunities for full-time Academy players who require financial assistance to participate. The scholarship, funded by NIKE and the U.S. Soccer Foundation is now in its second year. This year, scholarship applications are powered by WizeHive.

The Academy was developed as part of a strategy to improve the everyday environment for the elite youth soccer player, U.S. Soccer created a Development Academy in 2007. The Academy is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with an everyday environment designed to produce the next generation of National Team players.
