Small business owners need assistants with outstanding administrative skills. Mattson Business Services and Define Your Day have created a 10-week training course to teach women how to start a business working as successful Mobile or Virtual Assistants. Classes start October 1, 2008, and are held in person or via teleconference.

A qualified Mobile or Virtual Assistant allows owners to focus on the big picture instead of getting bogged down in the details.

Mattson Business Services announces the release of a new training course: 10 Steps to Starting Your Own Mobile or Virtual Assisting Business. This 10-week course guides women through the process of planning for and starting their own small businesses, with an emphasis on becoming a Mobile or Virtual Administrative Assistant. Angela J. Mattson created the course after working as a successful Mobile Administrative Assistant in the Charlotte, North Carolina area for more than five years. Mattson has worked with dozens of clients to solve home office organizational issues, create streamlined filing systems, and assist with various one-time or ongoing administrative projects. Visit Define Your Day - Become a Mobile or Virtual Assistant for more information.

Mattson Business Services is working in cooperation with Denise Altman of the Altman Initiative Group, Inc. and founder of the Business Success Institute and with Katie Mattson, Life Coach and owner of Momentum Coaching. The 10 Steps to Starting Your Own Mobile or Virtual Assisting Business course touches on all aspects of owning and running a business. Training modules include: Your Business Structure, The Business Plan, Your Business Services, Charging What You're Worth (facilitated by Denise Altman), Legal and Financial Issues, Marketing/Finding Clients, Work/Life Balance (facilitated by Katie Mattson), Basic Skills/Technology Overview, Networking, and Client Issues. In addition, the course contains templates, articles, and resources for students to use in their business.

Before being accepted into the 10-week program, each candidate will go through a personal interview process with Mattson Business Services and a DISC assessment (facilitated by Denise Altman). After completing the program, students will have the opportunity to post a bio, photo and link to their personal website on an online directory through Define Your Day. The searchable directory will be available to all small business owners.

"Small business owners need help. They are trying to do too many things themselves when they really should be concentrating on creating more opportunities," says Mattson. "A qualified Mobile or Virtual Assistant allows owners to focus on the big picture instead of getting bogged down in the details."

An abbreviated version of the course will also be available. The Study At Home to Become a Mobile or Virtual Assistant kit will provide the same modules and templates, but won't require the candidates to attend the 10-week course. It is the perfect solution for those women who are motivated to get started quickly.

Mattson Business Services' goal is to provide the small business community with the resources they need to be more efficient and effective. Hiring a Mobile or Virtual Assistant allows business owners to delegate work to a well-qualified assistant and thus free up their own time to pursue more clients and focus on the work they love.
