Women's Snow Sports Weekend at Wintergreen Resort Promises Fun on and off the Slopes
Women who enjoy the outdoors and want to improve their skiing or riding skills will gather at Wintergreen Resort, February 20-22, for a weekend of planned activities, culminating in the Wintergreen Women's Snow Sports Clinic, sponsored by Head USA.
Wintergreen, VA (Vocus/PRWEB ) January 9, 2009 -- Women who enjoy the outdoors and want to improve their skiing or riding skills will gather at Wintergreen Resort, February 20-22, for a weekend of planned activities, culminating in the Wintergreen Women's Snow Sports Clinic, sponsored by Head USA. No matter what the skill level, women of all ages will enjoy a weekend getaway - both on and off the slopes.
World Champion Extreme Free Skier and ski film star Alison Gannett will be on hand to conduct the HEAD USA clinic. She has won competitions in Canada, Japan, South America and the U.S. and has been one of the few women ever featured in TGR and MSP ski movies. She also runs her HEAD Rippin Chix steep camps and avalanche clinics, and has led ski mountaineering expeditions to India, Argentina, Bhutan, South Africa, North America, and Pakistan.
Wintergreen's 26 slopes will challenge skiers and snowboarders, who will be divided into skill-based groups for instruction and refresher tips. Off the slopes, opportunities for fun are seemingly endless.
While taking a break from skiing or riding, women attending the clinic can indulge in a delightful treatment at the resort's Wintergarden Spa- alone or with friends (check out the Girlfriends Getaway package) or partake in one of the resort's restaurants such as the Devils Grill or the Copper Mine.
During the weekend, there will be a slopestyle competition in the terrain park and show off new tricks learned at the weekend clinic.
