The Dan Carlisle Agency, an Alabama-owned firm offering insurance and financial planning services from offices headquartered in Jefferson County, is announcing the launch of a charity drive to raise support and awareness for the Pathways Woman’s Shelter in Birmingham.

The number of homeless women and children in Birmingham has grown steadily since the 1980’s, and the Pathways organization works to provide meaningful support and critical resources to area mothers in need of assistance. These “wrap-around” services are geared toward helping homeless women return to a life of dignity and self-sufficiency.

“There are an increasing number of mothers and children in our community who need our support to raise their children, and this is why supporting organizations like Pathways is so important,” says Dan Carlisle, owner and principal of the Dan Carlisle Agency.

Carlisle and his team are taking their efforts online to raise support for the Pathways Woman’s Shelter by reaching out to local families and business owners over social media networks and an email bulletin system. Further publicity is planned in the form of a full length article soon to be published in the firm’s online community interest webzine “Our Hometown”: http://www.dancarlisleagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.

A full roster of future charity events is already being planned by the Dan Carlisle Agency. Earlier this year, Carlisle and his team became new affiliates of a nationwide charity involvement group called “Agents of Change.” As part of this affiliation, the Carlisle Agency will be choosing and supporting a new charity in the region every other month.
