Package "celebrates" new and expanded menu at South Carolina's only Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond rated hotel and restaurant.

Woodlands Inn, near historic Charleston, is offering a Celebration Package which highlights the new and expanded menu on offer at South Carolina's highest-rated restaurant.

Package rates begin at $399 per night and include a three-course meal for two in the acclaimed Dining Room, where Executive Chef Nathan Whiting has expanded his New American cuisine menu to feature several new items, including:

  •     House-made Ricotta Tortelloni "Primavera," San Marzano Tomato Butter
  •     Chilled Hawaiian Blue Prawns, House-Made Hummus, Kanzuri Cocktail Sauce
  •     Coddled Maine Lobster, Thumbelina Carrot Mousseline, Zucchini, Vadouvan Emulsion
  •     Ribeye of Prime Beef, Pickled Porcini, Potato Puree, Red Wine Jus

The package at the Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond-rated inn also includes a wine amenity upon arrival, afternoon tea for two, complimentary valet parking, wireless internet access and bicycles, turndown service with amenity and breakfast for two.

Woodlands Management Company Salamander Hospitality, founded by noted entrepreneur and philanthropist Sheila C. Johnson, recently refurbished the 19-room property.
