Running a business around a young family is a real balancing act but it is very important to me to be there for my children as well as building a career
Torquay, Devon (PRWEB UK) 15 October 2012
Since its creation back in 2007, the growing Mums Club network has helped thousands of women set-up and build successful businesses. Jane Hopkins, the founder of the website, was made an MBE by her majesty the Queen in 2012. The Business Mum Awards started in 2008 and aims to find business savvy mums throughout the UK.
Torquay based Mumpreneur Suzannah was nominated for the 'Online Business' Award for her website Work For Mums which she started in 2010. The site started as a business blog, but evolved to incorporate flexible jobs and opportunities along with articles, resources and tips to support entrepreneurial mums.
Suzannah also runs a direct selling business, an eCommerce website and is a partner in an online marketing/design company, so is mindful of the demands of running a business around a family.
Suzannah said of the award announced on 7th October 2012, “It is an honour to have been voted into the Top 100 Business Mums in the UK. Running a business around a young family is a real balancing act but it is very important to me to be there for my children as well as building a career – this is why running online businesses has suited our family so much. I'm delighted that people have found the site useful for either finding flexible work opportunities or for helping them to start and grow their own business. The website will continue to be developed according to the needs of our readership”.
The overall winners of each category will be formally announced at an awards ceremony in December 2012.
