Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 24, 2016
World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announced that Anthony Velazquez, a former FBI special agent with over 24 years in the force will be joining its security team.
“We take patent security seriously,” said World Patent Marketing CEO Scott Cooper. “Our portfolio is growing, and we work in close collaboration with sophisticated inventors that take their privacy seriously. The cost of patenting an idea can increase tenfold when patent security isn’t taken into account. We bump heads with shady invention promoters, desperate competitors, and bad-apple inventors all the time. There is nobody more capable of providing us with the kind of protection that we need than Anthony. When it comes to crime, money laundering, terrorism, and kidnapping he has been there, seen it, and stopped it. He is going to be a powerful force on our Advisory Board.”
“There’s a lot of money in the invention business, and a lot of inventions need to be protected,” says Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing. “We constantly have to deal with shady invention promoters, desperate competitors, and bad-apple inventors. Velazquez’s added security measures will ensure that the money and the invention ideas remain safe and don’t fall into the wrong hands.”
Anthony Velasquez’s skills come from his enormous resume. He has specialized training in Undercover Operations, Counter-terrorism, Loss Prevention, Hostage Negotiation/Crisis Management Cargo Theft, and Loss- Prevention. He has been involved in many high-profile cases including a kidnapping case that resulted in the release of an important US diplomat, security for events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and served as a legal attache to South Africa where he dealt with murders, money laundering, and kidnapping. This has led to him receiving international recognition for his work from groups such as The US State Department, The Washington Post, and The Sun-Sentinel.
With his 24 years of experience, Velasquez brings much to the table as a member of World Patent Marketing Security. He is a Certified Crisis Negotiator and Undercover Agent, holds a Masters from the US Naval College, served eight years in the US Air Force, and speaks three languages, including Spanish and Portuguese. He will be an invaluable addition to the World Patent Marketing Security Board and Invention Team.
