World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, introduces JoyQuad, a camera invention that will help people film themselves during physical activities.
“The global action camera industry is worth $3.2 billion,” says Scott Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing. “This market will see continued growth over the next 5 years."
“Many people enjoy playing sports outside, and sometimes they want to show it off to their friends and family,” says Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing Inventions. “However, that can be easier said than done considering how difficult it is to capture yourself, especially while moving. This camera invention allows people to film themselves.”
JoyQuad is a camera invention that allows people to capture footage of their outdoor exploits. There are many people that enjoy playing sports outside and sometimes they want to show their family or friends just how good they’ve become. That can be difficult without a partner however, since a stationary camera won’t be able to capture all their movements. JoyQuad is a stand that can hold a camera or other recording device. It moves to follow a receiver that is carried by the user. This means that the JoyQuad will follow and point the camera at the user as they move around and capture the footage much more effectively than a still camera.
“It all started out when my wife Joy and I decided that we needed to become more physically active so we can live a fuller, happier life together,” says inventor Troy A. “We decided to play tennis at our park tennis court, but I was no good at it and she was far better. Then we started having to go to the tennis court at separate times of the day so she couldn’t see how much I’d improved and when I attempted to tell her that I’ve gotten enormously better, she laughed at me based on what she could remember from the last time we played the game. I was a joke so I took to the internet to find a hands-free device that would capture my every move without having to ask someone to hold my cell phone while recording. I was devastated from not being able to find such a device at an affordable price so I decided on creating my own device.”
JoyQuad is a camera invention that automatically focuses on and films one moving target. The user must simply hold a receiver and the camera will follow their movements, allowing them to film themselves no matter what they may be doing.
