World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announces the SLS, or Saving Lives Sensor, a small device that will prevent motorcycle accidents.

"The Vehicle Safety industry in the U.S. is worth $153 billion per year," says Scott Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing. "The SLS is a device that will save many lives and become standard equipment for motorists."

“Many lives are lost every day due to motorcycle accidents,” says Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing Inventions. “This device will be essential in cutting down those numbers.”

The Saving Lives Sensor is a Bluetooth-enabled device that detects nearby motorcyclists and alerts the driver of their presence. It uses both lights and voice commands to alert the motorist that there is a bike nearby. This device also overrides all cell phone, radio, and other smart device signals in the area until it receives a response. Once the response is received, the user will be aware that there is a motorcyclist in the vicinity and they’ll both be safer.

“Motorcyclists every day in this country have to save themselves from us,” says inventor Kim D. “Simply because we are so wrapped up in our daily lives we desensitize ourselves to our surroundings and become unaware of the presence of other beings or vehicles. I am the Founder and Inventor of (SLS) Saving Lives Sensor which controls the interaction between a motor vehicle operator and a motorcyclist. It accomplishes this by alerting the other with lights and voice commands that it is in close proximity. Once the acknowledgment is received, the safety of the rider and motor vehicle operator are ensured and lives are saved.”

Joan Wilson, a bank teller from Illinois, had this to say about SLS: “I know what it’s like to lose someone in a motorcycle accident. They’re too dangerous. Anything that can increase motorcycle safety in any way is a win in my book.”
