Of course, we're huge Tigers fans, so we're giving our fellow fans a great deal during the World Series games. When you're cheering for the world's best baseball team, you should have the world's best pizza
Detroit, MI (PRWEB) October 24, 2012
Detroit Style Pizza Co. will give away one free pizza for every home run hit by the Detroit Tigers during the 2012 World Series, awarded to the first Facebook fan to post the game score on Detroit Style Pizza Co.'s Facebook page wall after each home run. Detroit Style Pizza Co. will also offer its World Series Pizza Deal, a large one-topping Detroit Style Pizza for just $8.99, during the games. Tigers fans can enjoy Detroit Style Pizza Co.'s signature pizza, named World's Best at the 2012 International Pizza Expo, while rooting the Tigers on to their own world championship. The World Series Pizza Deal will be available from the beginning until the end of each World Series game.
“Detroit Style Pizza Co. is a world-class pizzeria, just like the Tigers are a world-class baseball team, and a tradition Detroit can be proud of,” said Detroit Style Pizza Co. President Shawn Randazzo (World Champion Pizza Maker of the Year, 2012). “Of course, we're huge Tigers fans, so we're giving our fellow fans a great deal during the World Series games. When you're cheering for the world's best baseball team, you should have the world's best pizza.”

Authentic Detroit Style Pizza is baked in well-seasoned square steel pans, a tradition that dates back to the 1940's when automotive manufacturing parts trays were used as pizza pans. Detroit Style Pizza Co. pizza features a crust that is light and airy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Pepperoni is layered directly on the crust, brick and mozzarella cheeses are spread edge-to-edge, and additional toppings are sprinkled on top. The cheese caramelizes to the crust edges during baking, and signature red sauce is ladled on last – lending the nicknames “Upside Down Pizza” and “Red Top Pizza.”
The Detroit Style Pizza Co. World Series Pizza Deal is good for one large, one-topping pizza for just $8.99 and offered for the duration of each World Series Game. The deal is available via carryout or delivery (delivery fees may apply, $10 minimum order for delivery) at Detroit Style Pizza Co.'s St. Clair Shores (586-445-2810) and Clinton Township (586-286-9030) locations.
