The firm is actively filing Wright Conserve lawsuits on behalf of those who have suffered premature device failure and other serious complications allegedly caused by the implants.

Along with similar products from companies such as Stryker and DePuy, the Conserve line of hip implants has been the focus of scrutiny from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other consumer watchdog groups regarding the safety of the devices.

(PRWEB) November 28, 2013

There are nearly 80 Wright Conserve hip lawsuits in federal court in Georgia, according to court documents. The Rottenstein Law Group LLP, which maintains a Wright Conserve lawsuits website at http://www.wrightconservepluslawsuit.com, notes that these lawsuits involve plaintiffs who were implanted with any of the several products in the Conserve line.

The Wright Conserve lawsuits were first consolidated into a “multidistrict litigation” in 2012 as a way to increase the efficiency of the pretrial proceedings for the dozens of similar cases. There are now about 75 lawsuits pending in the MDL, according to court documents (In re: Wright Medical Technology, Inc., Conserve Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation; MDL-2329, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia).

“Along with similar products from companies such as Stryker and DePuy, the Conserve line of hip implants has been the focus of scrutiny from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other consumer watchdog groups regarding the safety of the devices,” said Rochelle Rottenstein, principal of the Rottenstein Law Group LLP.

This news comes at a time when DePuy has reportedly agreed to a multibillion settlement over the company’s ASR metal-on-metal hip implant, according to a Nov. 20 New York Times story.*
