TrainSignal's new Citrix XenApp 6 Training teaches students the skills necessary to effectively centralize and manage applications and deliver them as a service to users anywhere.

TrainSignal, the global leader in professional computer training, announced the release of their Citrix XenApp 6 Training course.

Citrix XenApp 6 enables any Windows application to be virtualized and managed from a centralized data center, and then delivered as an on-demand service to users anywhere using any device. Used by over a 100 million users worldwide, XenApp combines proven power and compatibility with enterprise scalability. XenApp 6 now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and integrates with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

Brian Green, TrainSignal Product Development Specialist, said, "XenApp provides enterprise class application virtualization solutions. In our course, Elias shows how to configure the XenApp environment to provide end users with secure access to these published resources from any endpoint device, over any connection, anywhere."

Instructor Elias Khnaser is one of the world's leading experts on virtualization and cloud computing. He is an author, speaker and IT consultant with over 14 years of experience and is a recipient of the VMware vExpert award. He has numerous certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) NT/2000, Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) and CCA XenDesktop, and Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA).

Khnaser is a frequent contributor to Forbes and Information Week. In addition, he is the author of "VMware Certified Professional Exam Cram" and "VMware Certified Professional 4 Exam Cram" both from Que Publishing. He is also co-author of "Citrix MetaFrame XP Including Feature Release 1" by Syngress Publishing and "Citrix CCA MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 and 4.0 (Exams 223/256) (Exam Cram)" by Que Publishing.

The Citrix XenApp Training begins by providing students an introduction to XenApp and then continues on until students are ready to administer real world XenApp environments. Although no previous experience with XenApp is required, the course will most benefit experienced Windows Server administrators with an understanding of virtualization. Recommended prerequisites are TrainSignal VMware vSphere Training or TrainSignal Microsoft Hyper-V training.

The course offers 100 percent coverage of the Basic Administration for Citrix XenApp 6 certification exam (Exam A18). However, the course also offers plenty of real world administration instruction including application streaming and publishing, XenApp architecture, deployment and configuration, XenApp Farm administration, Citrix policies, configuring printing and properly securing XenApp.

"We are excited about the benefits of this course because it teaches introductory skill sets for desktop and application virtualization, in addition to instruction for advanced XenApp environment architecture," said Iman Jalali, TrainSignal's Director of Sales and Marketing.

In all, the Citrix XenApp Training course offers 27 lessons totaling over 14 hours of training videos packed onto two DVDs. Course DVDs are shipped worldwide for free. However, students can take advantage of instant online access to all course materials almost immediately after registering.

Multiple video formats like iPod Video, WMV and high quality AVI video allow students to learn on virtually any device. Furthermore, a PDF file of instructor notes ensures that students can focus on learning instead of taking notes and review what they learned in the training videos anywhere. All of these files are accessible online so that students can train anywhere, anytime.
The Citrix Training course is covered by TrainSignal's 90-Day Total Experience Guarantee. TrainSignal's Citrix XenApp 6 Training is available for $397.
