New XSTAR SPORT Satellite Radio Computer Controlled Power System Makes Sirius and XM 'Plug and Play' Radios Live Portable

MIS, Inc. has just released the latest in the XSTAR line of portable power systems for satellite radio. The XSTAR SPORT is the lightest XSTAR yet. When combined with the low cost XM Sportscaster or Sirius S50, a compact portable satellite radio system receives LIVE broadcast and is lighter than iPOD. The xstar sport includes powerful micro antenna and runs on common AAA batteries, either rechargeable or disposable.

Islip, NY (PRWEB) July 25, 2006 -- New XSTAR SPORT portable power system by Micro Information Services Inc introduced to make the XM Sportscaster or Sirius S50 "plug and play" satellite radios into LIVE portable satellite radios. XSTAR SPORT combined with the XM Sportscaster is lighter than iPOD. XSTAR systems have been on the market via internet web and eBay store since 2005. XSTAR enables satellite radio customers of Sirius and XM to use their inexpensive "plug and play" radios as true live portable systems, running on common AA or AAA batteries, either disposable or rechargeable. XSTAR computer controlled power management technology (patent pending) regulates power to the radio and provides circuit protection for the radio and batteries.

XSTAR SPORT is low cost, includes the AAA battery power system and micro satellite radio antenna. XSTAR SPORT power system, running on rechargeable or disposable AAA batteries, provides longer run time and shorter recharge time than alternative systems available for the XM Sportscaster. In addition, the xstar antenna outperforms these combined headphone/antenna systems, and permits customers to use their own high quality headphones.

XSTAR SPORT provides a very low cost alternative to the $400 portables on the market, and, is more versatile with AAA battery power and high performance micro antenna.

XSTAR is a revolutionary concept that capitalizes on the wide availability and rapid recharge time of common household batteries and feature rich, but inexpensive, "plug and play" satellite radios. "We continue to develop new concepts to bring satellite radio to everyone", says Rosemary Nyman, President of MIS, Inc. "With our xstar products, including the new XSTAR SPORT, customers can have portable LIVE satellite radio for under $100, including XSTAR and the cost of the satellite radio. And, with AA or AAA batteries, power is always available. XSTAR and most of the 'plug and play' radios have been in use on commercial airlines, cruise ships, while bicycle riding, walking, or simply relaxing on the beach." The full line of XSTAR systems support more than 20 satellite radios.

XSTAR is not affiliated with XM or Sirius or any of the satellite radio manufacturers.
