Yahoo! Canada recently commissioned a study around key topics relevant to every Canadian travel marketing professional. As the Online Revealed Canada Conference closing keynote, Mr. Byrne will present on the evolution of travel planning online, and where it is moving in the world of social media and Web 2.0.

The Yahoo research indicates that close to 40 per cent of Canadians use search engines more often than other sources to find information on lodging and daytime activities compared to six per cent who go offline. The survey also finds that users of online resources take an average of three and a half trips per year, compared to only two for travelers using offline resources. Among other things, the study finds that Canadians who use search engines and company web sites are more likely to complete an online purchase (59 per cent). The Yahoo closing keynote will sum up all of the tactical workshops that Online Revealed will present over the two day event.
