Yakima Valley personal injury lawyer Mariano Morales Jr. is pleased to accept, on behalf of his legal team, the honor of being voted “Best Attorney” in the Yakima Valley for the sixth time in nine years by readers of the Yakima Valley Business Times.

The publication will feature a write-up on the award in its upcoming September 7 and 21 issues.

“This is an honor that reflects the hard work and professionalism of our entire team,” said Morales, founder of the Mariano Morales Jr. Law Firm, a Yakima Valley personal injury law firm that serves accident and injury victims throughout Yakima, Wenatchee, the Tri-Cities of Richland, Pasco and Kennewick and surrounding communities in Grant and Chelan counties.

“I can’t say enough how proud I am of the Morales Team’s dedication to obtaining fair and just results for individuals and families who have suffered injuries as a result of the fault of someone else,” Morales said. “We are truly committed to the goal of making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families.”

The Yakima Valley Business Times is a local newspaper with a readership estimated at 20,000. It is published every other Friday and distributed to local residents and businesses.

Each summer, the newspaper sponsors a “Best of the Valley” reader poll that offers readers the opportunity to vote for Yakima’s best in 80 different categories.

The award recipients are announced in the fall. This year, the Yakima Valley Business Times received several hundred more reader responses than last year, according to the newspaper.

In addition to 2012, Morales has been voted “Best Attorney” in the Yakima Valley in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He was voted “One of the Best” in 2006, 2010 and 2011.

The son of migrant farm workers, Morales grew up in the Yakima Valley and earned his undergraduate degree in forest management from Washington State University in 1982.

He then went to work for the Society of American Foresters (SAF) national office in Washington, D.C. While working for the SAF, Morales completed post-graduate classes in political science at George Washington University and earned his law degree from Catholic University.

After law school, he returned to Washington State and practiced as an attorney at a corporate law firm and as a prosecutor in Yakima before entering into the field of personal injury law.
In 1994, he established The Mariano Morales Jr. Law Firm, which focuses solely on providing legal help to the victims of others’ negligence.

“I get a lot of satisfaction from my work because 99 percent of the people leave my office with more than what they arrived with,” he said. “I also feel good about the fact that when I help them with a case, my pay is coming from an insurance company. It’s not coming directly out of their wallet.”
