New Destination Marketing Tool Launches in Twelve Markets

Evanston, IL (PRWEB) October 23, 2008 -- Your Concierge TV (YCTV), a new web-based video mapping tool, was officially launched this week for twelve travel destinations, much to the delight of restaurants, theaters, retail stores, attractions and local businesses that are constantly striving to attract new customers to their establishments. YCTV merges video and mapping technology into one platform that sells the destination and encourages new visitors.

Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) can use YCTV to sell a destination and create demand. Consumers frequently refer to CVB websites when doing destination research. But the tool also provides distinct benefits to hotels. When planning a trip, guests can quickly decide whether a hotel's location is right for them based on its proximity to local businesses and attractions. During a hotel stay, YCTV also provides convenient 24/7 onsite access that can improve guest satisfaction.

Clicking on the YCTV logo on a hotel website opens an interactive map plotting the location of the hotel along with color-coded spots on the map for area restaurants, businesses and attractions. When a visitor clicks on a particular business, an information "bubble" opens up with a professional YCTV-produced video about that business or attraction. In addition to viewing the video, a user may e-mail the listing to a friend or colleague, download the content to their own mobile phone, link directly to a business' website, make a dining reservation, buy an event ticket, and get directions or calculate the distance between points. They can even build a custom itinerary.

Additionally, text couponing gives guests another incentive to use YCTV; they can view offers, send to their mobile phone and redeem without a need for printing. Advertisers and Hoteliers appreciate that every one of these features is tracked in detailed online reporting; every click, view and visit is recorded.

YCTV has launched in several hotels, including The Allerton Hotel Magnificent Mile, Lord Elgin Hotel, and Westin Key West Resort. Initial market coverage includes a broad and diverse group of destinations ranging from large metro areas like Chicago, Miami and New York City, to popular vacation destinations like the Florida Keys, Orlando and Niagara Falls. The company plans to launch another 6 markets over the next three months, including San Francisco, Boston and Riviera Maya.
