This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with Yoga.
Alameda, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 11, 2011
For those who have been thinking about trying out Yoga, West Coast Dance Theatre is offering an introductory class at their Alameda dance studio. The introductory Yoga class is being held Saturday, April 2 from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Ongoing Saturday classes during the same time start April 9.
“This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with Yoga,” said Yoga Instructor Summer Estrella, M.A. “Students will enjoy this easy stretching class combined with some simple breathing exercises.”
Estrella warns students not to eat one hour before class and to wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement. Footwear is not important as Yoga is practiced in bare feet. “Just bring your own mat,” said Estrella.
Yoga is adaptable enough for the whole family to enjoy; moms, dads, kids and grandparents can all benefit from a Yoga practice that fits their needs and stage life.
A week after the introductory class a new ongoing Saturday Yoga class in Alameda will begin on April 9. These classes will also run from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. The cost is $15 for drop-ins or $60 for 5 classes within a 60 day period. Payments can be made in cash or by check or PayPal. Family rates are available for West Coast Dance Theatre families.
