This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with Yoga
Alameda, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) April 06, 2011
Yoga is a great way to bring the family together, get healthy and clear the mind. At the West Coast Dance Theatre in Alameda, regularly scheduled 90-minute Yoga classes will begin April 9, 2011 at 9:30 am.
“Stretching your tight body in new ways will help it to become more flexible and bring greater range of motion to muscles and joints,” said instructor Summer Estrella. “Over time, you can expect to gain flexibility in your hamstrings, back, shoulders and hips.”
Yoga offers many physical benefits, including improving, flexibility, strength, muscle tone and breathing. Yoga can also help reduce mental distress and prevent pain. The Alameda yoga classes are adaptable enough for the whole family to enjoy. Moms, dads, kids and grandparents can all benefit from a Yoga practice that fits their needs and stage life.
“This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with Yoga,” said Estrella. “Everyone can enjoy this easy stretching class with some simple breathing exercises.”
Some recommendations for first time Yogis are to not eat one hour before the class begins, wear comfortable clothes to move in, leave shoes at home, and bring a mat.
The class costs $15 for single-class drop-ins or $60 for five classes within 60 calendar days. Cash, check and PayPal are the only accepted forms of payment. Special rates are available for West Coast Dance Theatre Families.
