The Financial Benefits Network launched a freshly updated website today which serves as a one stop, online employee benefits communication and financial resource portal. Provided by employers for employees, the portal helps human resource professionals transition their activities from transactional to strategic by communicating all benefits information online to employees directly. All employee benefit plan information is available to employees, from forms, medical provider directories, and documents all in one place – paper is eliminated -

For employers, the new Financial Benefits Network portal frees up time and demands on staff. “It was wonderful. It freed up my time and allowed me to focus more on employee relations issues that couldn’t be handled on the Internet. It allowed me to do the projects that benefited employees in other ways than their traditional benefits, the warm and fuzzy piece that I know as a human resources professional is truly important.” - Susan Staples, HR Consultant. This time savings translates not only to monetary savings, but to improved corporate morale.

The portal also includes a financial education module, allowing employers to help their employees reduce financial stress by providing a wealth of educational materials and online tools. The education module covers virtually all financial topics from saving, retirement, college planning to health, nutrition and elder care. Will Morris, founder and president of the FBN program shares the reason he created the portal: "Having spent over 30 years in the benefits industry I know the stress it can cause both employers and employees. The best remedy for undue stress is information, and the FBN system seeks to provide both parties with the information that will make their lives easier, in a quick and easy to access manner."
