The company will be adding to their new broadband customer base with the acquisition subscribers from another provider later this month.

Managed Broadband Services

TruVizion is a great tool that ZCorum provides as part of their service. It’s already helping us keep tabs on the performance of our cable modems and CMTS, and will be an invaluable tool for tracking down issues that may crop up on the plant.

ZCorum and Altitude Communications announced today that they have successfully launched broadband Internet in Altitude’s service area in Valdosta, GA. The companies signed an agreement earlier this year for ZCorum to provide managed services for Altitude, a family-owned cable company that at the time was not yet offering broadband service. As part of the agreement, ZCorum immediately began providing after-hours call center support for Altitude’s cable TV subscribers. Now that the Internet service is launched, ZCorum is provisioning the cable modem and VoIP devices, as well as providing email service and technical support for Altitude’s broadband customers. Altitude’s new broadband plans start at 1 Mbps and go up to 15 Mbps.

In addition to the launch of Internet in their home service area, Altitude’s recent acquisitions will expand their operations into north Florida, bringing on an existing base of new broadband subscribers. “Partnering with ZCorum certainly made our launch of Internet service much easier, and will do the same as we significantly expand our customer base from this acquisition,” said Altitude’s CEO, Mike Jury. “I’m also happy to have their call center staff available for after-hours support for our cable television customers. The consumer has multiple options for video these days, and we want to make sure Altitude Communications continues to bring a competitive cable television package to our subscribers with the best possible support.” According to Jury, unlike an answering service, ZCorum is able to troubleshoot common issues so the customer doesn’t have to wait until the next business day to speak with someone who can help.

In addition to broadband services for Altitude’s end-users, the company’s staff also has access to ZCorum’s award-winning TruVizion broadband diagnostics application. “TruVizion is a great tool that ZCorum provides as part of their service”, said Jury. “It’s already helping us keep tabs on the performance of our cable modems and CMTS, and will be an invaluable tool for tracking down issues that may crop up on the plant.”

“I’m happy to welcome Altitude Communication to our family of Affiliates,” said Julie Compann, President and Chief Operating Officer at ZCorum. “We’ve had the opportunity to help quite a few companies launch Internet services over the years, and we look forward to a long partnership with Mike and his family as they grow their business.”
