Company launches two week contest for SCTE attendees to win a Google Nexus 7 tablet.

There are a lot of drawings at a show like this, so we wanted to do something a little fun, and get people engaged before they head to Orlando.

ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, is headed to Orlando, FL to the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and is giving attendees the opportunity to win a Nexus 7 tablet from Google. The company is running a contest called “Solving the Broadband Puzzle" that allows entrants to make use of their cable broadband knowledge and crossword puzzle-solving skills.

Running through October 19, the contest revolves around an on-line crossword puzzle with clues related to simple cable and broadband concepts, as well as a couple of answers that can be found on ZCorum’s Website. Correctly solving the puzzle registers the attendee, who then would check-in with ZCorum staff in booth #118 at the show to qualify for the drawing.

“There are a lot of drawings at a show like this, so we wanted to do something a little fun, and get people engaged before they head to Orlando,” explained Rick Yuzzi, Vice President of Marketing at ZCorum. “Sure, we’re asking them to do a little work, but that also means the odds of winning are going to be better than throwing a business card in a bowl.” Yuzzi said ZCorum will be demonstrating TruVizion, their premier broadband diagnostics application, as well as their new Broadband Policy Enforcer (BPE), which helps providers manage and enforce usage thresholds.

The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo '12 will be held in Orlando, FL, October 17-19 at the Orange County Convention Center with technical sessions beginning on October 16. ZCorum will be exhibiting in booth #118. Cable providers who need a guest pass to the Exhibit Floor can download a free pass from the ZCorum website.
