(See Press Release http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/5/prweb238375.php)
This feature is available to all PRWeb users that have one or more press releases distributed through PRWeb's system. This is available only through PRWeb. You must have submitted press releases through a PRWeb account.
In order create your RSS Feeds you need to establish RSS Groups. You can group press releases any way you wish. Common groupings are client, project, company division, product or service lines, etc..
To classify press releases in RSS Groups:
- Log into your PRWeb News Management Console and click the red "Add/Edit RSS Groups" link.
- Fill in the "Client / Group Name", "RSS Feed Display Name/Title" and "RSS Description"
- Click the gray"Add Group" button
- Repeat the steps for each group as needed.
Once a Group has been added it can then be used to classify current and future press releases to that Group. To do this, click the "Assign to Groups" drop down box on the right side of the headline of a press release and assign the Group that corresponds with the content of the press release. Doing so will allow press releases to be linked together both on PRWeb but more importantly under a RSS feed.
To access the RSS feed click on the orange XML button located above all the press releases classified under the Group. The URL appearing in the web browser address field is the RSS feed for the press releases. For example, PRWeb's "Official Press Releases from PRWeb International, Inc." is located at: http://www.rsspad.com/rss2/3836.xml
To view the feed, plug the URL into a RSS reader. Some free RSS readers can be found and downloaded at:
http://www.rssreader.com/
http://www.newsgator.com/home.aspx
http://www.pluck.com/
As new releases are added into the group, the RSS feed will automatically update to reflect the new content.
