It was announced today by Founder, Jeff Cohn as a result of the successful grassroots growth of a website started to address the lack of objective local cellular coverage consumer information. publishes a quarterly cellular rating based on submissions to its poor coverage database.

Founder, Jeff Cohn conceived of the idea after performing an initial survey asking his friends in Los Angeles to identify intersections they could guarantee their cell phone would drop a call. Initial results confirmed everyone we asked provided us with a minimum of three problem areas.'s grassroots community continues to grow through word of mouth and search engine referrals. The database contains one thousand dead zone submissions from around the country in just over six months of operation.

Cellular users are frustrated with their customer service and need a simple way of comparing local coverage. Accurate and pinpointed information regarding bad coverage areas does not exist. All carriers seem to paint a very "pretty coverage map picture" of how their service covers the entire metro area perfectly. How many times have you heard the infamous "I'm going to lose you in a second..." We all know cellular coverage is marred by sporadic areas of service break-ups or flat-out no service at all. Based on our research, we decided to assemble a community database to start identifying dead cell zones in major metros areas to fill this gap of information.
