Tasha Alison, vice president of the Alison Group, has been elected Georgia State Director for the 7th District of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) for the 2004-2005 term.
"It is an honor to be recognized by my peers," said Alison, who has severed as President of the AAF locally. "I look forward to working with the state directors and board members to promote industry standards and enhance professional development."
Tasha was nominated and elected to the position at the April AAF 7th District Conference in Biloxi, MS. The 7th District includes the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
"The District is so excited to have someone of Tasha's caliber and commitment to represent the State of Georgia in the AAF," said Susan Tucker, immediate past governor for the 7th District of the AAF.
"Whether holding office in Augusta AAF or judging the annual American Advertising Awards in Alabama and Mississippi, Tasha's leadership and enthusiasm is lauded by all who know her."
Duties as State Director include establishing policy, monitoring clubs within the state, coordinating and encouraging club attendance, conducting state meetings, serving on the Board of Directors and attending board meetings, the annual convention and business meeting and leadership meeting.
"Through my position as State Director," Alison said, "I hope to help promote advertising, marketing, public relations and media in our region as well as bettering the industry at large."
