The sheer exhilaration, sense of achievement...the learning was infinite. A valuable lesson I think for anyone beginning a deal or project to deliver client value over a period of time. If our customers felt anywhere near like that about their client/supplier relationships then we would be evidently more successful!

Do you have unrealised dreams? Do you feel like something is holding you back? Do you know that, by knowing yourself more intimately, you will be able to achieve anything you want?
During a weekend, in a beautiful and relaxing location, participants spend time exploring what they most want to achieve in their lives, using powerful coaching tools and finally Mount Snowdon itself to reveal and overcome the inner barriers and fears that prevent them from realising their dreams.
Jason Flynn, Managing Director of The Project Coach, reflects on his Ascent experience by saying, "The sheer exhilaration, sense of achievement...the learning was infinite. A valuable lesson I think for anyone beginning a deal or project to deliver client value over a period of time. If our customers felt anywhere near like that about their client/supplier relationships then we would be evidently more successful!"
The Ascent experience is an opportunity to get away from the daily routine, relax, spend time with an inspiring group of people and reassess what is most important in your life. Participants find that the whole Ascent weekend helps them to rediscover their passion for life and realign their goals with what is most important to them.
ÂWe recognised that there is increasingly something missing from peopleÂs professional lives  a sense of challenge, of adventure, of taking the opportunity to achieve something truly amazing with your life says Peter Freeth, one of Ascent's creators. ÂThere are many people running outdoor activity weekends, but theyÂre not giving people the high quality coaching and reflection that is an integral part of Ascent. Ascent is focussed on you, as an individual, transcending your dreams. It combines the best aspects of an executive retreat and high quality coaching whilst working with an amazing group of people.Â
The Ascent program comprises intensive coaching, personal discovery work, time for reflection and a climb to the 1085 metre summit of Mount Snowdon in mid-Wales. It promises to combine powerful personal development with a real sense of excitement and adventure.
Nicola Kleinmann, Managing Director of Big Fish Recruitment, describes her feelings on top of the mountain as, ÂBig sense of achievement, I've definitely stepped out of my personal comfort zone...having a go, taking some more risks - I'm not afraid to do that". These feelings are common for people who take the opportunity to explore their own potential during this unique experience.
Clay Lowe, Ascent's co-creator, says, ÂAscent is for people who know they could achieve so much more in life if they could shake themselves free of their everyday chains. WeÂre inviting people to leave behind the ordinary world and join us for a real personal adventure. There is nothing else like Ascent, combining climbing with the personal focus and comfort of a retreat weekend, where people can really explore what is most important in their lives.Â
Ascent requires no technical climbing skills and is suitable for anyone of an average fitness level who can run for a bus or climb a flight of stairs easily. At all times during the weekend, safety is our primary concern and no participant is asked to exert themselves more than they feel able to. The weekend is physically and mentally challenging yet enjoyable and relaxing and is certain to give you the experience of a lifetime.
The 2005 new Ascent season opens on April 22nd and runs through the summer until September 2nd.
