One of the major problems experienced by users of the previous version that they also needed to download Java virtual machine (JVM) in order to run the converter software. This meant that the user had to download additional 15 MB in order to make the software functional. This dependency of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is now eliminated with this version.

The converted file can be read using the Smartworks Project Planner Reader, a freeware, which can be, downloaded from http://dl.filekicker.com/send/file/139491-0NW8/ppreader10.exe.

The Smartworks project planner reader allows the user to read the project plans prepared using Smartworks Project Planner. The user gets to see all the aspects of the project plan including Gantt charts, Network diagrams, Project metrics, Resource usage, Project Cost and other graphs. However the user cannot modify the project plan or print it.
