Sarasota, FL-based Interview USA, Inc. has been selected by LAUSD to provide Interview USA's patent-pending Virtual Video Interviews™ to the Human Resources department to expedite the school site selection process in a District with more than 700 schools covering a geographic area of over 700 square miles.
After their central HR processing, teachers are often provided lists of vacancies in the district and are encouraged to contact the respective principals for an interview. As part of LAUSD's ongoing effort to be on the cutting edge of new technology, the HR department felt that Interview USA's technology would allow principals easier and quicker access to highly qualified teachers. Teachers are able to record their Virtual Video Interviews™ while in the central offices and, minutes later, these interviews are available to the principals. In the short time since implementation in mid-June VVI has proven to be an asset in the hiring process. Principals have already selected over 50 teachers who were introduced to them through the Virtual Video Interview. Additionally, the District's recruiters will be able to record VVI's from teaching applicants in the field and upload them into the system for immediate access by principals. LAUSD's recruiters attend teaching job fairs in about 20 states.
