Holts Summit, MO (PRWEB) August 18, 2005
The 2005 World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin is reaching out to the global community with an online daily information source to provide the latest news and promotional materials about the event and the dairy industry.
ÂWorld Dairy Diary at http://www.wdexpo.org was created and is being maintained by ZimmComm, an internet communications company based in Missouri. President Chuck Zimmerman explained that Expo officials were looking for a new way to get information out to people about the event.
ÂWorld Dairy Diary is what has become known as a web log, or blog, Zimmerman said. ÂSince a blog is just simply a website that is easy to update, it is getting more popular as a communications tool to provide information, pictures, audio and even video on an immediate basis.Â
Zimmerman will be providing regular postings about the World Dairy Expo prior to, during and after the event, with photos, interviews and commentary. Two companies that have already signed on to sponsor the coverage are No-Bull Enterprises and Holstein Association USA, Inc. Other sponsors are pending.
World Dairy Expo sales manager John Rozum asked ZimmComm to create a blog for the event because he thought it would be a great way for people to keep up with Expo activities. ÂI think it will be absolutely fabulous. Even the ones that come to the show arenÂt able to see all the events and features that we have at the show, Rozum said. ÂWorking with this blog will help give people that opportunity before, during and after the show.Â
World Dairy Expo general manager Tom McKittrick says getting more information out about the show is their goal. ÂI think the more information that people can have about World Dairy Expo the better understanding they will have of the event. For those who have never attended, it may encourage them to do so. For those that do attend, more information should always be helpful.Â
More than 65,000 people from all over the world are expected to attend this yearÂs World Dairy Expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The theme of the Expo this year is ÂThe Art of Dairy and more information on events can be found on their website http://www.worlddairyexpo.com, which also has a link to the World Dairy Diary blog.
ÂWe are encouraging members of the dairy industry, media and anyone interested to get their dose of World Dairy Diary daily, said Zimmerman.
Members of the media are welcome and encouraged to use images and audio from the website in their coverage of the event, and also to contact ZimmComm if they would like any more information about the World Dairy Diary.
