Today, two of the Christian music industry’s biggest players joined forces to create the single biggest Web portal selling Christian books and music products., a Christian music downloading site, and, an online Christian music CD store, will provide the first family-friendly sites that allow access to Christian music downloads and products.

As the focus of their partnership, the two companies will offer a digital music store to churches and other organizations through an affiliate program.

“The idea of launching an affiliate program for churches has been in the back of our mind since we launched SongTouch,” notes David Dickinson, Vice President of Touch Inc. provider of SongTouch. “But it wasn't until we met Daniel Smallbone that we knew we had found the right partner with MusiChristian.”

Once developed, churches and other organizations can employ technology developed by the two industry leaders to offer music downloads, compact discs and books to congregations, eager for family-friendly music with a positive message. “We see our partnership as a special relationship,” explains Rachinski. “Smallbone shares our mission to provide family-friendly, faith-based music in a safe environment. Together we can assist churches and other organizations to do the same.”

Daniel Smallbone, then just 21 years old, created at the end of 2000. Smallbone’s family background drove him to create ( His father owns a successful record distribution company and his sister is Christian music artist, Rebecca St. James.

“We built MusiChristian because we saw a need in the community,” notes Smallbone, “As demand for Christian music grows, the supply is often lacking, particularly for those overseas or in rural regions of the U.S.” has become the leading edge Internet seller of Christian music CD’s. The site offers over 100,000 titles of Christian music, and is well known for its savvy use of Internet marketing. Since adding two-and-a-half years ago, Smallbone’s business has seen a 500 percent growth year-to-year.
