Rainbow Quartz Records, a leading international independent record label specializing in melodic and psychedelic guitar rock and pop, is proud to announce the signing of a major label digital distribution agreement with Universal Music for recording artists Myracle Brah. Additionally, the song “Let’s Go,” by Rainbow Quartz recording artists The Jessica Fletchers has been selected as the background music for the new NASCAR/Nextel “2005 Race For The Chase” television commercial. These new distribution and song placement agreements are designed to expose Rainbow Quartz artists and music to millions of potential new fans.

Universal Music will digitally distribute a compilation album, or "greatest hits," from underground/Indie sensation Myracle Brah, through Universal's Internet Arm. Jay Gilbert, head of A&R with Universal's E-Music division, was smitten by Myracle Brah's brand of infectious melodic jangle meets hard-rocking psychedelic rock. Myracle Brah’s digital album will be released in late 2005 and Universal has an option to release hardcopy Myracle Brah CDs through normal distribution if the digital release reaches, or exceeds, targeted sales levels.

Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Myracle Brah is the brainchild of Andy Bopp, former frontman and songwriter for Interscope Records’ Lovenut. Over the band’s illustrious career of six full length studio releases, critics have continually compared Myracle Brah to a broad spectrum of 60’s artists, from the Byrds and the Beatles to Badfinger and the 70’s Raspberries, as well as Teenage Fanclub, T-Rex, and David Bowie, all with a 21st Century guitar attack. Mojo Magazine has called Myracle Brah’s first record, “Life on Planet Eartsnop,” one of the best guitar-pop records of the last 10 years.

Additionally, the song “Let’s Go,” by Rainbow Quartz Recording Artists The Jessica Fletchers has been chosen by NASCAR/Nextel for the ‘bed’, aka: background, music for a new national television commercial campaign entitled "Race for the Chase" that is presently airing on major broadcast and cable networks. The 30-second "Race for the Chase" spot features breathtaking NASCAR action sequences combined with quick editing and – look fast – appearances by actors Matthew McConaughey and Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as an abundance of leading NASCAR drivers.

The “Let’s Go” commercial placement comes on the heels of CBS Television selecting the song “What’s In Your Mind,” by Rainbow Quartz Recording artists, The Grip Weeds, as the background music for the current commercial campaign launching the new CBS crime drama, CRIMINAL MINDS, which airs nationally in late September 2005.

According to Rainbow Quartz President, Jim McGarry, “Rainbow Quartz continually seeks out new opportunities to expose our bands to new audiences through creative digital distribution agreements or song placement opportunities on the major broadcast and cable networks.”

Continuing, Mr. McGarry states, “The most effective way to market new music is to make it continuously present in all forms of multimedia. In this era, MTV and VH1 barely plays music videos or breaks new bands. Music by new indie acts have to become ever present in our daily lives through all forms of multimedia entertainment, such as television programs and broadcast and cable TV commercials, where a song can build a following as an anthem attached to products, services, or sporting events.”

Hailing from Norway, The Jessica Fletchers song, "Summer Holiday & Me," from their new CD "Less Sophistication," was embraced by AAA radio and it received significant airplay in July and August. Additionally, MTV Germany picked up the band’s video, "Summer Holiday & Me" for regular rotation and The Jessica Fletchers was handpicked as the opening act for a massive Austrian concert festival featuring Oasis and Weezer that drew over 30,000 fans. The Jessica Fletchers will also headline a showcase at the famous PopKomm festival in Berlin, Germany on September 17, 2005.
