New York, NY (PRWEB) October 6, 2005
Matthew White and Frank Webb of White Webb, LLC (an interior design firm with offices in New York and California) announce their participation in the 2005 Downtown Designer House Tour in New York City. Sponsored by the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club (http://www.kipsbay.org) and Architectural Digest (http://www.architecturaldigest.com), the event offers an exclusive visit to the private residences of Kips Bay designers and their clients. Showcasing some of the designers’ most celebrated work, the tour is a must-attend event for those inspired by great interior design.
For this tour, Matthew White and Frank Webb will fling open the doors to their respective apartments, both of which are housed in the same Stanford White-designed building on lower Park Avenue. Built in 1889 as a one-family mansion for J. Hampden Robb, a cotton tycoon and former New York City Parks Commissioner, the building is constructed in the Italian Renaissance style. From its stately terracotta and brick façade to its beautifully detailed interiors, the building is a rare gem.
The Downtown Designer House Tour will be held on Tuesday, October 25th from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are $125 if purchased by October 18th or $150 thereafter. All proceeds benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Southeast Bronx, supporting programs that instill self-esteem and cultivate potential in nearly 9,000 disadvantaged youngsters. For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club at 718-893-8600 x 245.
