Silhouette Paint, an innovative high dynamic range raster paint system, has been released. Silhouette Paint offers non-destructive motion stabilized paint for image restoration, dust busting, and wire and rig removal. The plug-in version is the first raster paint option for Apple(R) Final Cut Pro(R) and Adobe(R) After Effects(R).

Silhouette FX, LLC is pleased to announce the release of Silhouette Paint, an add-on to its acclaimed Silhouette Roto application. Designed from the ground up to handle the demands of motion picture and television visual effects, Silhouette Paint is available as a stand-alone product or as a plug-in. The plug-in version is the first raster paint option for Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects users. Able to paint on individual fields, Silhouette Paint is a powerful addition to the Silhouette family.

Using powerful multi-layered match moving capabilities, Silhouette Paint can non-destructively apply color, tint, erase, blemish, mosaic, and grain brushes to 8-bit, 16-bit, and floating point clips. Silhouette Paint's clone brush features are especially powerful. To more exactly match a foreground element, paint sources can be transformed on-the-fly by rotation, corner pinning, and scaling in addition to being offset in time or XY space. Four independent clone sources are maintained simultaneously for added flexibility.

Silhouette Paint is tightly integrated with Silhouette Roto's shape features such as motion tracking, variable edge softness and realistic motion blur. Brushes can be automatically applied to shape layers which are themselves automatically match moved. Blemishes, for example, can be automatically erased over time with minimal set-up by attaching the blemish brush to a rotoshape tracking the blemish itself.

As a stand-alone product Silhouette Paint costs $495 (USD) and requires the stand-alone Silhouette Roto, $595 (USD). Stand-alone Paint and Roto can be purchased together for a bundled price of $995 (USD). Paint is available for all platforms for which Silhouette Roto is available (stand-alone on Windows(R), Mac OS(R) and Linux(R) systems, and as a plug-in to Adobe After Effects and Apple Final Cut Pro). As a plug-in Silhouette Paint is just $245 (USD) in addition to the Silhouette Roto plug-in, now priced at $295 (USD). The plug-in versions of Silhouette Paint and Roto can be purchased together for a bundled price of $495 (USD). Floating licenses are available at additional cost and require a floating Silhouette Roto license be owned as well. A stand-alone floating license is $200 (USD) additional. A plug-in floating license is $100 (USD) additional. Purchasing a floating license for Roto and Paint at the same time provides a 25 percent discount on the floating license fees.
