PiecesOfVermont.com, an online retailer of made in Vermont products, has redesigned its website top to bottom for the 2005 holiday shopping season. The website was established in 1999 and has evolved into a selective collection of unique products from individual artisans, crafters, maple syrup producers, and small store retailers.

PiecesOfVermont.com, an online retailer of made in Vermont products, has redesigned its website top to bottom for the 2005 holiday shopping season. The website was established in 1999 and has evolved into a selective collection of unique products from artisans, crafters, maple syrup producers, and store retailers with an eye on the future of eCommerce. Items such as Bennington Pottery, Vermont maple syrup, handcrafted wooden bowls, gift baskets, and even jigsaw puzzles are featured on the site and then drop-shipped from various locations throughout the Green Mountain State.

“Several of our merchants including Bennington Potters, the countries largest on-going craft pottery, are located in the southern end of the state. However, one of our merchants, Gift Baskets by Kim, is located at the very northern tip of Vermont,” says Rick Smith, the website’s president and designer.

A daunting redesign of the website’s navigation, functionality and content took over three months to complete. The merchants represented on the website believe their work will pay dividends when shoppers start making their holiday purchases this month. The website now offers over 400 products made in Vermont, many of which are presented as holiday gifts -- everything from specialty cheddar cheeses to stoneware dinnerware. The website even offers a way to create your own custom gift baskets.

Often referred to simply as “Pieces Of Vermont,” this online store is available at http://www.piecesofvermont.com or toll-free at 1-800-507-7721.
