The Bettinger Company improves marketing and recruiting success with VCG's Web design services.

The Bettinger Company, a Philadelphia-based, full-service staffing firm, has a service history spanning 50 years. To build on their established leadership position, Jeff Bettinger, Owner and President, knew that to stay competitive, they must lead with new marketing and recruiting initiatives. Considering the growing importance of Web-based communications, it was apparent that their static first-generation Web site had little dynamic functionality or useful content to appeal to clients or potential employees.

In 2005, The Bettinger Company chose long-time partner VCG to use its Web Design Services to develop a new Web site for them to increase its marketing capabilities, Web presence and their ability to recruit temporary employees.

While many Web design firms have capable design and coding teams, VCG was also able to use its exclusive technology to connect their Web site to their staffing software in real-time. This gave the Bettinger Company a number of critically important benefits. For example, the site now acts as a dynamic online job board -- Bettinger's staffing coordinators can easily post jobs online in real-time, where applicants can then search and apply for them. Further, clients can now enter job orders online -- and the orders are instantly entered into the staffing software system for follow-up action.

Jeff Bettinger, Owner and President of The Bettinger Company, states, "The added recruitment functionality of our site has been incredible."

VCG's Web Design consultants specifically target staffing/recruiting firms' business goals, unlike other Web design companies who may not understand the industry. VCG's thirty years of staffing experience helps to build a site for a client that establishes a company's brand and achieve its marketing goals. The Bettinger Company took all of this into consideration when making its decision.

Bettinger states "Our decision came down to the best value and knowing that VCG's expertise in the staffing industry would lend itself to our site design. As a VCG software solution customer since 1987, the questions that are usually there when making a new business decision -- weren't."

"We have a history with VCG and felt very confident about our decision," adds Bettinger.

And what have been the results?

Bettinger states, "I feel our Web site has improved 100 percent; functionally, graphically and through ease-of-use for temporary employees, clients and visitors."

The Bettinger Company Web site was also designed to be much larger than their previous site, in terms of Web pages. With the larger size and ease of navigation, Bettinger is able to communicate much more information to clients, temporary employees and other site visitors, which helps to generate interest in the company.

One of the major initiatives Bettinger wanted to improve was his company's marketing efforts. His goal is to 'mirror' their marketing materials based on the new Web site's design and content to increase the company's market presence.

"Our goal has always been to deliver the best customer service possible. We see our new Web site as part of our commitment to that goal. It will enable us offer superior service 24x7 -- and help us increase billings," says Bettinger.

In the first sixty days of the new site going live, Bettinger saw a huge improvement in recruiting. "We have already had a couple of hundred people apply online, and we find this very impressive," says Bettinger, "from a recruiting standpoint, we are able to reach a larger number of potential clients and temporary employees."

The Bettinger Company is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. With the time honored company philosophy of providing the best service available along with its advancements in technology, Bettinger is poised to maintain it success in the future.
