REDWOOD CITY, Calif., (PRWEB) November 2, 2005
Ipedo, a leading provider of enterprise information integration software, and ebizQ, a leading business integration web site, along with Decideo, a European on-line business intelligence community, today announced they will conduct the second annual study focused on enterprise information integration usage trends. The 2005 EII Survey will analyze motivation for EII projects, application areas where organizations are using EII, and the results of such projects.
The 2004 EII Survey showed growing momentum for EII projects, increased scope in integration goals, and a large number of planed EII initiatives. This year’s survey will examine whether organizations implemented these planned projects, what effects new IT trends such as service-oriented architectures (SOA) are having on data integration and how the goals of EII projects have shifted.
“In the past year, we have seen an explosion in the number of customers asking how EII can solve their business problems,” said Nick Zhang, CEO of Ipedo. “By exploring the drivers behind this growth in the market, it is our goal to help other customers deploy this exciting new technology in their organizations.”
“EII has rapidly become one of the hottest areas of interest among visitors to our site,” said Les Yeamans, President of ebizQ. “By sponsoring this study, we will be able to provide the most comprehensive research on EII and identify new trends that will help IT professionals with their data integration needs.”
By participating in the survey, business and technical managers will gain valuable insights into how their peers are using EII to consolidate information to feed various analytical applications. Architects and developers will learn implementation details about EII deployments in other organizations, such as the number and types of data sources, applications where integrated information will be used, and how people are combining EII with Web Services, SOA, and other new technologies.
The 2005 EII Survey, available at Ipedo’s Web site, will gather input through December 15. Participants and accredited news organizations will receive a copy of the summary report after the results are compiled and analyzed in early January. The report will enable comparisons of an individual company’s EII initiatives to industry averages.

Enterprise Information Integration
EII is a fast-growing new technology that enables applications to present information on-demand from disparate and complex data sources. EII treats all enterprise data and content as a single, virtual data source that provides users customized, query-based access to the information they need, while leveraging existing IT investments.
Leading media outlets, research firms, and system integrators are expanding their coverage of EII. The 2005 EII Survey will provide extensive information on EII usage to provide data on current EII usage and trends to watch.
