Edmonds, WA (PRWEB) November 3, 2005
Online holiday shoppers interested in “buying green” this season are traveling to Greenforgood.com, a start-up company offering a wide selection of organic and environmentally friendly products.
Launched in August, the new online retailer is already generating traffic of thousands to its web site, http://www.greenforgood.com.
“This promises to be one of the most ‘green’ holiday seasons ever,” said David R. Kaufer, Green for Good chief executive. “Consumers are becoming more aware of the wide range of environmentally friendly gift choices available and are choosing to purchase these products ”
Greenforgood.com is the first company to bring a variety of natural, healthy, environmentally friendly and organic products from different companies together on one central web site giving consumers one-stop shopping for green products. The company showcases more than 2,000 products from more than 30 merchants. Additional products are added weekly to the site, which is believed to be the largest of its kind.
There are now more than 63 million people that make up an emerging category of consumers looking for healthy and sustainable products, according to the Natural Marketing Institute. Some call this group LOHAS for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability while others are using the ‘Healthy Products, Healthy Planet’ moniker. Either way, they say the market was worth $440 billion in the U.S in 2003 and it grew more than 6.3 percent that year.
On Green For Good consumers can find organic cotton baby toys, certified organic catnip, natural homemade soaps, baskets of various Fair Trade coffees, men’s hemp jeans, organic cotton towels, and a wide selection of organic foods, among other gift ideas.
