Esnatech, a leader in Unified Communications platforms, deployed a Telephony Office-LinX platform for the Center for Management Technology & Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto. The goal was to streamline the way professors and students communicate and collaborate.
The Center for Management Technology & Entrepreneurship’s focus is the Canadian Financial Services Industry ("FSI"). With both professors and students engaged in many research projects throughout the year, a reliable and powerful tool to keep them connected and able to communicate in real-time was a major requirement when deciding which communication technology was needed to facilitate their daily research. They decided on integrating a Telephony Office-LinX platform into their voice network in order to enable real-time anywhere access to any member of their team. With both students and professors being all over the campus, and in some cases in different cities, they decided the Telephony office-LinX platform would deliver them instant access to all their messaging from any web interface, e-mail, or simply form their cell phone. This ensured that staff and students would be able to respond immediately to requests and enhance their daily productivity in order to complete their research in a timely manner.

The Management Center could now continue to amortize the phone hardware and capture savings by not converting over to a new telephony environment. They do plan to migrate but Telephony Office-LinX allows them to deliver communication applications without converting to a VoIP environment right away. They can realize immediate productivity gains now, and capture VoIP cost savings at a later date.
